BS sessions in reports–do they sneak in or not? – MCG’s MIPster the Tipster™

Hi there, friends. Here is a quick fix for confusing report totals. In MIP, session status controls what shows up. BS means Batch to Suspend. BP means Batch to Post. When you run reports and choose to include unposted transactions, only BP sessions are included. BS sessions never appear because they have not passed MIP’s validation yet.

That is why a test entry marked BS will not change your numbers. The balances will not show until you flip the session to BP. If you expected something to appear and it did not, check the posting status first. Most mysteries vanish right there.

Here is the tip. Always confirm the status on your sessions before you read a report. BS is not in your reports yet. BP is.
