About the Grant
The MIP® Fund Accounting Grant equips mission-driven nonprofits with a fully funded two‑year MIP® license, plus professional onboarding. Our goal is to reduce administrative burden, increase reporting accuracy, and improve compliance—freeing more resources for community impact. After two years, your organization is responsible for maintaining the MIP® subscription and any ongoing costs.

U.S. 501(c)(3) organization (or fiscal sponsor arrangement) in good standing.

Note: After the two-year grant term, the organization is responsible for maintaining and funding the ongoing MIP® subscription (and any optional add-ons).
How to Apply
- Review eligibility and gather required documents (IRS letter, financials, board roster).
- Complete the online application (250–500 word responses).
- Submit by Oct 31, 11:59 PM ET. Late submissions cannot be accepted.

Recommended Cutoffs
- 4.0–5.0 — High Priority Funding
- 3.0–3.9 — Strong Candidate
- 2.0–2.9 — Consider if funds remain
- Below 2.0 — Not recommended
Each application is independently reviewed by at least two reviewers. Scores are averaged for fairness and transparency.
FAQs
Is there a cost to apply or accept the award?
No. The grant covers the two‑year MIP® license and implementation services as described. Any optional add‑ons are outside the award scope.
Who should apply?
U.S. nonprofits that need stronger fund accounting, grant reporting, and audit readiness, and have clear plans to adopt and sustain MIP®.
How many awardees will be selected?
This varies by cycle. Selection is based on rubric scoring and overall fit with program goals.
What happens after I apply?
Applications are reviewed Nov 1–20. Announcement on Nov 21. Implementation begins no later than Jan 1, 2026.
Are existing MIP users eligible?
No. Existing MIP users are not eligible for this grant.
Does my organization need to be new to MIP?
Yes. The organization must be considered a new user to MIP in order to qualify.
What happens after the two-year grant term?
After the two-year grant, the organization is responsible for maintaining the cost of the MIP software subscription at current pricing.
